How To Get A Ridiculously Hot Body For Summer

Happy new year fellow readers of this blog. Sorry for the late wish. Wow! It’s been a year already? Having said that, what a better way to start this new year than with a bang.

Yeah! I’m going to prep you up for the summer. That’s right we’re going to be talking about getting your body ready for summer. That early? You betcha…

The thought of summer brings images of hot bodies lounging around in swimsuits. This is the time for you to flaunt what you’ve got. In order for you to look your best for summer, you do have to work for it! More on the workout for summer below.

As a guy, can you imagine yourself strutting shirtless with an amazing set of six pack abs? If you’re a gal, how hot would you look in a bikini if you had a super sexy body with a lean stomach?

So how can you create this amazing look for summer? Here are 5 tips that can help you get that hot body for summer.

1. Prepare yourself 5-6 months before summer

Many people make the mistake of waiting till it’s almost the summer season before they start their strict diet and get into a workout for summer routine. Wouldn’t you agree that getting in shape will take some time? Nothing great can happen overnight!

Even if you are in considerably good shape now, you still need to think 5-6 months ahead. If you still have some pounds to lose, you need to put in even more effort. So get ready for the summer workouts and start now! Yes, now!

2. Purge your home of junk food

This may take a bit of time, but you need to do this if you want that beach body for summer. Take a look at what’s in your kitchen. Chips? Ice-cream? Cookies? Give these up and never buy any more. A look in my fridge reveals some soda, popsicles, popcorn, and some fried stuff which I can’t identify. Out with those!

Throwing these out will make it less tempting for you to have “just one cookie” to reward yourself for working out. You should also replace these with healthier snacks like maybe some almonds.

3. Get on that scale and track your progress

Take a look at how much you weigh now. If possible find out how much body fat you have too. So how much weight do you need to lose — 6-7 pounds? Try losing that amount. If you feel like losing more, you still have time to do so. That’s the great thing about starting this early.

The mistake many people make is that they underestimate how much they need to lose. That’s why you should do this now, way before summer. This gives you plenty of time so that you can still lose that 1-2 pounds if need be.

4. Wear your swimsuit today and photograph yourself

Okay, ladies, I know this may sound scary — but it is good to do so. Once you see how you look in your swimsuit, you will get that extra bit of motivation to work towards your goal. Now that you know how you look, you know how much work you need to put in.

Now that you have your swimsuit on, take a photo of yourself. Do you look great? Then challenge yourself to look amazing! Hate how you look? Then start working out and change that!

5. Get role models and visualize!

Visualizing is an effective technique. Did you know that Olympic athletes visualize winning before they even get to the arena? When you look and think about what you want, your mind works towards helping you realize that goal.

Take a look at pictures of attractive men and women in swimwear and you will definitely want to work your butt off getting that slim sexy body that is just perfect for summer. Toned arms, lean legs, flat tummy — these are all achievable when you put your mind to it.

Your plan

Now that you have the above 5 tips, you may want to take a look at what sort of plan to implement so that you can get the best looking body at the beach.

Get in some strength training to develop strong and lean muscles. You also need to hit cardio which is excellent for fat burning. And add to that some High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).

We have talked about each of these intensively, but just to give you an idea, here’s a sample workout that you can tweak to suit your goals.

Split your workout for summer program into two days and rest on the third day, then start again on the next day with workout 1 and so on. Do 5 sets for each muscle group with 5 reps each set.

On Workout 1, you can work your chest, back and abs. Some good moves to try include bench presses, chin ups and planks.

On Workout 2, you can work on your biceps, triceps and shoulders. Some moves you can include are barbell military press, alternate seated dumbbell curls, dips, and close grip bench presses.

For cardio, you can work on the treadmill or the elliptical machine, or you can simply take a run outdoors. And if you need a simple yet effective HIIT workout, jumping rope can be your best bet.

These moves will surely help you blast your fat and get your body into shape — just in time for summer!
