What Is The Right Way to Lose Weight?

by GuestPoster on May 7, 2010

Say no to sudden and radical slimming diets and to quick weight loss because they will only cause health problems and if you do not want to take this into account just think about the fact that you will not have energy to be happy and in shape! The quicker you lose weight the quicker you put everything back on and more! You should try to slowly lose unwanted pounds. If you gradually lose weight the chances that you put those pounds back lower considerably!

Many diets are designed from the start to lose a lot of weight, so you will be encouraged you to do so. But you will lose a lot of weight in water and some muscle. Water will make it back but when you will eat salted products and fast food but when it comes to muscle mass … we are convinced that you already got scared and this is definitely what you want!

What we do not know about fast diets! If we lose more than we lose 2-4 pounds a week, we will lose a lot of muscle mass with the fat. This is particularly harmful because muscles are active tissue in terms of metabolism. This actually means that our body burns calories just to sustain muscles. Losing muscle mass will create a slower metabolism and from this perspective we will be eating less and less and less to lose weight!

And things go from bad to worse! If we still continue to lose weight too fast in the next days your body will “think” that it is threatened and it will adopt a survival system. So, every diet that says “lose weight now” actually means “lose muscle mass and water now so you will be able to get fatter later”. That is not the way to lose weight.
