Jumping rope can deliver a great workout while also helping to tone your calf muscles. Also, swimming is a great all body workout which will help burn away your belly fat.
When you begin to burn away the fat on your belly you can focus on abdominal specific exercises. Crunches or situps are utilized by many to provide definition to their stomach. Traditional situps may be hard on your lower back. For this reason, many people prefer crunches which are just as effective. Many people do crunches as fast as they can to get in as many reps as possible. However, a more effective method may be fewer crunches performed slowly. By keeping your ab muscles contracted slowly and holding a crunch you can get a better workout.
Weighted crunches can also be a great exercise. By simply holding a small amount of weight to your chest while doing your crunch you can greatly increase the effectiveness of the exercise. This added resistance will create more muscle definition and you may see your ab muscles start to show before even losing all of your belly fat.
Once you have burned off your belly fat and you have an exercise routine in place it is important to pay attention to your diet. By staying on low-fat diet you will greatly increase your chances of keeping your belly fat off forever.
