Looking for an easy stomach exercise? It really depends on how you look at it. This is how I see it. If you’re willing to do whatever you can to achieve that flat stomach of your dreams, then no matter how hard it is, you would give your very best to get it. On the other hand, if you’re not willing to work hard at it, then you may not be able to stick with it long term. Period.
While some would prefer the use of machines or special equipment, I prefer to just lie down on the floor, equipped with only a little motivation and determination. After all stomach exercises should be as simple as possible, even though I do use equipment sometimes. But in this case, my idea of an easy exercise is one that you can do while watching your favorite TV show.
I will give you a brief explanation of my idea of a simple stomach exercise that you can do anywhere. The movements are very basic but enough to give you the results that you are looking for.
Introducing the basic crunch. This is considered better than sit ups because they do not strain your back as much. A crunch is performed simply by lying on your back and raising the upper portion of your body a few inches off the ground, just enough to feel the strain in the stomach muscles. The key to these movements is to be sure your stomach is doing the work and not your head, or arms. Also take note, it is very important to keep everything straight and not lift your head more than the shoulders or your back.
Another movement which is also great and should be done in conjunction with the basic crunch is a side crunch which works the oblique, or as some people call them “love handles”. This movement applies the same technique as the crunch, only the body is twisted slightly to one side when you raise a few inches the upper portion of your body off the ground. Repeat the same thing with the opposite side.
However, it will do you no good if you only concentrate on one specific muscle group of your stomach. What you want to do is to include several different exercises to burn your stomach fat by way of exercising the whole stomach that includes your upper and lower sections of your stomach as well. This, we will discuss further in the future. At the moment, the easy stomach exercises discussed above should be sufficient for now. Apply it everyday, especially in the morning when you just wake up from sleep.
No exercises will work properly if not performed and done regularly. Even an easy stomach exercise would seem to be difficult if you’re not that serious about it. Remember, getting a flat stomach will not happen overnight. Otherwise, everyone and their neighbors are doing it and everyone would have a flat stomach. Ahhh, how nice is that. But it takes time, dedication and patience, regardless of the exercise used. Stick to it and you’ll see the results in no time. Best of luck to you!
